Get Out the Vote this Saturday for Porsche Middleton and CAPS-UAW Priority Candidates

Dear CAPS-UAW Member,

I’m Danielle Elledge, a fellow State Scientist and member of our union, CAPS-UAW. Our union has a plan to get out the vote in key districts during the General Election.

In the Sacramento area, CAPS-UAW and UAW Region 6 endorsed candidate for State Assembly Porsche Middleton, a great candidate who shares the values of State Scientists and will be a champion for scientists’ legislative priorities in the State Assembly, if elected!

Can you join other CAPS-UAW members to knock on doors to Get Out the Vote THIS Saturday, September 28?  We are meeting up at Handy Family Park in Folsom at 9:30 A.M. Arrive early to eat pancakes!

In Nevada and Arizona, key swing states, UAW Region 6 members are organizing to defeat Trump, win contested Senate races, and ballot initiatives to secure abortion access.

Will you join fellow UAW members to canvass in Reno NV or Phoenix AZ on October 12 and 13? Bus transportation and hotel accommodations will be provided for all attendees. Bring your friends and family, too!

Two CAPS-UAW members are running for public office

Our very own Rae Vander Werf and Scott Bauer are CAPS-UAW / UAW Region 6 endorsed candidates! Rae is the CAPS-UAW Vice President and running for re-election as American River Flood Control Board Trustee in District 5. Scott is a former CAPS-UAW Board member who is running for Eureka City Council, Ward 4.

There are many other endorsed candidates who share State Scientist and UAW worker values – please consider voting for them and supporting their campaigns, as well.
