Updates on Total Tentative Agreement.

AB-181, the budget trailer bill vehicle to fund our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), was approved by the State Legislature and has been sent to the Governor for signature.

The Governor has until the end of September to sign all bills, including our MOU bill. Once the Governor has signed AB-181, the Total Tentative Agreement is effective and becomes a MOU (or contract).

Coming Soon! Know Your Rights Trainings.

It’s critical that all of us are aware of the rights and benefits available to us through our soon-to-be MOU and as State employees. The upcoming trainings will empower all of us to identify violations of our contract and become better equipped to fight back when our rights are violated. The strength of our contract is more than just the terms we negotiate and win, but also our commitment to enforcing those terms! Familiarize yourself with the provisions in your contract, join upcoming Know Your Rights meetings, and immediately report workplace issues here

The first of these trainings will take place at various worksite locations between September 16 – October 4. Stay tuned for more information.
